Introduction to the Board /Bios

  • President:  Joanna Miller, CVT graduated from Harcum College,  Technician Supervisor at Dover Animal Hospital, areas of interest are surgery and anesthesia
  • Vice-President:  Michele Hogsett, graduated from Delaware Tech, LVT at Savannah Animal Hospital
  • Secretary:  Amber Garrison, LVT at Dover Animal Hospital, areas of interest are behavior and critical care nursing
  • Treasurer:  Tara Geyer, graduated from Delaware Tech, LVT at Governor’s Avenue Animal Hospital
  • DVTA/DVMA Liaison:  Laura Rowe, graduated from Delaware Tech, LVT at Savannah Animal Hospital
  • Executive Director:  Lisa Garrison, graduated from NOVA, LVT and Technician Educator at DTCC

Mission Statement:  To act as the leading advocate in the professional and educational advancement of veterinary technicians in Delaware, to provide development opportunities and support to all members of the veterinary team and to enhance public understanding of the diverse and vital role of the licensed veterinary technician.
